Prince of Denmark tried to get in a nightclub to have a drink, but was refused entry by the security. His entourage of cops who were in plain cloth only elevated the security's suspicions. Despite the cops' best efforts to convince the security that they are indeed dinky cops, but the security is no fool

As you know the royals don't carry an ID card like us plebs. So no proof, no entry, no drinks ! When the security asked who that "smiling" guy was, the cops won't say. I suppose it would be a breach of security protocol to do so.

According to the ABC news, the prince is no ordinary prince. If he wanted a f-king drink, he will get it. So he left, and after 25 minutes of contacts and/or discussions with the appropriate authorities, he received an apology and, finally, got his drinks!

According to the security, it is "no ID, no entry". Good honest work there. The also reckoned those cops in plain cloth and armed with gun could just be terrorists

I will deny a Dane a drink any day of the week.

Whether you paid for it or he/she, you can be sure he/she will not be satisfied with it and ask for their money back.

They can't help themselves. It is what Danes do.

Whole drama is kinda funny, but these type of laws are bloody ridiculous.
Have you been to Kings Cross lately? It used to be a crazy, wild hub of nightlife and a real sight to behold at 1pm on a Saturday.
My wife and I went there a few time whilst visiting Sydney just for a gander and a few drinks. Didn't love it but it was certainly more than what we expected. If you've been to big cities in the US like LA, NYC it's no shock and compared to the likes of Amsterdam etc it's tame.

About three years ago, we were in Sydney and caught up with some friends and ended up deciding to have dinner on Friday at a restaurant in the cross. Met at our hotel and got a cab there about 9pm. My wife was dressed up and only had her clutch with a phone and cash. They would not let my wife into the restaurant because she did not carry photo ID. A well dressed woman in her late 30's, completely sober, was not allowed into the restaurant! Bloody insane.

I was pretty annoyed but the restaurant manager came out and explained it was the law they had to abide by, not internal rules and they had seen the business all but fail since it was introduced.

The cross on a Friday night at 9pm looked like an outer suburb of Perth on a Wednesday.

Congrats to the government for wrecking that one.

Yes, I do find it rather funny that the future king of Denmark was given the marching order. But he and the cops who are protecting him were boxed in. They can't reveal who he really is for security reason, and they can't use their heavy-arm tactic because it is against the law. So here was a prince, with shedload of money to burn, and was told to bugger off !

I have another funny one.

It happened in the NT at a place called Humpty Doo. Cops were called to a disturbance nearby. Loud music and much screaming and yelling and carrying on. So two cops in full uniform turned up. What they didn't realize that it was a "hens night"

The funny thing was the ladies didn't know they were the real cops, believing that these two hombres were part of the act, a duo of male strippers. So the out of control ladies were planting kisses all over the cops, and trying to strip the cops' gear as they went along.

The cops were of course trying desperately to resist, but the ladies thought it was a slightly different stripper routines, one which the male strippers actually put up a bit of resistance. So the harder the cop trying to resist, the more persistent the ladies were !

Eventually the cops had to own up and told the now rather wild ladies that they actually are the real cops. Still the ladies thought it was all part of the "new" routine, and they loved it even more. Finally, the cops could take it anymore, and showed them their ID, and weapons. (No, not the hidden one, you filthy minds !)

I bet it will take the cops some time to "rearrange" themselves
