Seriously though, I thought cricket was the "gentleman's game", watched by people who refer to fans as "gents" as if only men watch the game and their spouse as "the missus", as if women don't enjoy watching the cricket too.
Maybe we need myusernam to lend some perspective on how frustrating it is to switch to the "World Cup" on tellie, only to find that it's just not cricket and it's women playing.

Honestly most of us kiwis thought we were lucky to be in the semifinals. Then to beat India and get into finals. Play great cricket but to tie the game and then the super over only to lose on less boundaries

What an incredible game. I'm not a kiwi but felt like I'd been punched in the gut. Can't imagine how our southern cousins feel.

Why not just do another super over FFS!!

.... and why on God's green earth would you put your most out of form batsmen (guppy Guptill) in the super over ... Williams should have stepped up. Bad move. He was player of the series for a reason.
