Got given a dvd with hours of looney tunes cartoons a little while back. My kids prefer watching that to any modern-day cartoon.

Road Runner and Foghorn Leghorn are my faves.

Tom & Jerry is brilliant.

WazzaYotty gave me all 160 odd episodes on a memory stick and I'm working my way through them with my son (who's nearly 4). We both laugh our heads of at the stuff. Way better than some of the rubbish cartoons on TV these days.

Yep Cisco, that was the golden age of cartoons. It is shamefull to see the rubbish they give kids today, that manga poorly animated crap is terrible!

I have seen some of the computer rendered stuff and it looks like rubbish. It just doesn't look as good as normal 'drawn' stuff.

I think the manga type stuff has a place though. In the same way as southpark's animation, it has enough story behind it and enough continuity that it makes sense... sometimes.

Personally I preferred Loony Tunes if we are going back to cartoons from sixty years ago. I also liked Ren and Stimpy and still enjoy Southpark. Southpark clearly explains many social problems in the world due to ideas being thought up at the top and then pushed down, ideas that usually cause problems.
