The best thing about electric power is : 100% torque from the moment you press the pedal

You see when he gets the front wheels off the ground he has to back off big time.

Fun maybe.

Green NO!!

Energy can not be created or destroyed. (A LAW of Physics)

To propel that car along that dragstrip at that speed requires the same amount of energy (given equal mass) no matter which form of energy is used.

The GREEN bit comes from the fact that they are hugely efficient at low power settings, like idling through city traffic.
At 10km/hr in slow traffic they only consumes about a kilowatt.
A petrol engine at this power setting still gobbles up a fuel consumption of about 10 kilowatts because at low power settings the petrol engine is grossly inefficient.

Sitting at a set of traffic lights, a petrol powered car is 100% INEFFICIENT. You can't get any worse than this.
An electric car sitting at traffic lights is 100% efficient. You can't get any better than this.

I don't dispute any of that.

I believe electric powered household vehicles are the way to go.

GM, Nissan and Toyota produced entirely successful electric powered vehicles back in 1996-7.

The forum does not cop Power Points so if you can handle being totally disillusioned about the way of the world, PM me an email address and I will send you "Elektro-Autos1" or you can see it on the Choobe here.

We are being conned by big oil and other vested interests.

Feel free to debunk if you wish but you might like to read "A Century of War" by F. William Engdahl, Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order if you want to get the full shock.

Another shocking read is "The Franklin Cover-Up" by John W. DeCamp, Child Abuse, Satanism and Murder in Nebraska.

Nebraska is the home of Aksarben (read it backwards) and N.A.M.B.L.A. (North American Man Boy Love Association).

George Bush Snr gets a prominent mention in both books.

Yeah right!
And after you've bought that electric car that runs on nothing, I've got a bridge I can sell you so you can drive your car back and forwards over it all day.

That car looked very heavy in the rear end to me.
I don't suppose it had 10 car batteries in it did it?

In the remote control car hobby, the electric cars are faster and have better acceleration than the nitro cars.

Nitro cars still sound and smell the goods though

If it works it does not really matter what it looks like until they take it to the market place where it will need sex appeal to sell it.

If it ain't sexy people won't buy anything no matter how "Green" it is.

People buy with emotion and justify with logic. Right brain first, left brain second.
