Was saddened to learn of the passing of Emeterius Professor Peter Joubert last week. Amongst his many accomplishments were the design of several well respected ocean racing yachts. The Prof sailed his last S2H in 1998 and made claim that one of the waves measured by a rescue chopper is the largest ocean wave ever recorded. I was fortunate enough to complete my final year engineering project under Prof Joubert on the construction of an "ocean wave" generator for the towing test tank. Fair Winds.
