Hi, I'm just after some advice, I just purchased my kids two second hand surf skis. I have been sticking them on my roof racks and tying them down, but I'm terrified they'll come off on the freeway and cause an accident. I have heard about J style carriers, and wondered if they are a good idea, or are they dangerous? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you

Mickey.

1st post asking about a certain product appears like advertising. Surprised you did not add a link.

If i was you, ask what is best suitable for your surf ski's and skip brand naming. Also see other forum topics not general as your answer might have already been answered.

Why? Can't you tie a knot?.
People transported skis for years &years before these were invented on roof racks with rope . I don't think I will get a response because it just seems like a troll to me first post picture of a product etc .

No actually it was a genuine question. The picture comes from Gumtree, I purchased these and am due to pick them up on Wednesday. I wanted to know if they were any good before I commit to a purchase. That was all. I can tie a knot, but figured there must be an easier way than trying to load two boards onto the roof of a smallish car. Sorry if my ignorance has caused offence.

I just assumed that if I had a question I should post a photo of the product in question. I did search forums but found nothing.

I'm sure your purchase will be fine and SUP board straps will help secure your boards to those racks and some are lockable.

If you ever ready heavy you would understand it takes alot to offend people on Seabreeze, we just get alot of first post scammers trying to sell something or advertise in a sneaky way. As above search the other forums down lower. this has come up from time to time.

Heaps of people here to give advice. Maybe just not in the general topic.

One of those surf ski's kayaks ran into me today and cracked my board. We were both ok. I asked the guy if he saw me, to which he replied I couldn't steer it.

If I was you, I'd burn both of them.
