Im wondering if anybody else has done this &what was the end result as it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
The doctor said if i get surgery it will limit the movement of my arm &just to let it heal &its all the way from my wrist to shoulder &as much as I try to avoid using that arm my job requires heavy lifting &its been a fairwhile &still not really improving so I thought I would ask .
Thanks

Ligaments attach bone to bone tendons attach bone to muscle...every joint shoulder elbow wrist has multiple ligaments with two Connection points each...to have Only 2 or 3 connection points you must have had serious trauma and your arm be a unstable as a cooked spaggheti noodle

You didn't say how long ago you did this, but if it's what you say it is, you're looking at months.
You also didn't say if the "limited movement of the arm" (as per the doctor) is permanent, if so, I'd avoid it, I find that hard to believe though, but I'm no doc, just scarred and damaged/healed/damaged again.

I did it about 6mths ago and every time i think its getting better then it starts acting up again .
Ive only got about half strength in that arm now but its just constantly painful.
But thats an improvement over when i did it I suppose as it was just a thing that flapped around on the side of my body for a while

I did an elbow when it was hyper extended when a two foot wave landed on it. After six months I went to the doc. He said it would get better but it was an eighteen month to two year injury. He was pretty much spot on, but it's as good as gold now for the most part.
