A good friend of mine went toe to toe with his step-daughter this time last year with him wanting her to be a little more pro-active in finding work. The step daughter claimed there was no work out there. When questioned a little further, she claimed she was not going to be taken advantage of by working more then 4 days per week for less then 100k. No quals, no uni degree, 12 months out of year 12 and that is what she considered bottom conditions. Go figure.....
My question to this is, Who tells them this stuff???
where do they get that expectation from?
is is the school, is it TV, or do they just make it up in their heads?
schools etc. should be drumming in the reality of no qualifications = a
possible $30k start, working in a drone like call centre, or slugging it out at coles or the like.
that would be education!
