I have been getting notices from EToll/Sydney Harbour Bridge (& others) that I have used a toll road and not paid the toll.

My SUP can be either on the roof or inside the car. I can't remember where it was a month later when they send me the bill.
The board hangs out to the left of the ETag.

Is anyone else having this problem?
Are the new ETag readers more feeble?

They should scan your plates anyway. If those plates are registered against the tag, it should charge it to that.

Is the etag beeping when you go through? I had to replace one of mine as it was not working. If its the rta system, I think they should just swap it over.

^^ what he said.

Go on their website or call them.

Link your plate to the tag, then it doesn't matter where the tag is. Doesn't even need to be in the car.

Probably a scam.. I've had 2 emails claiming I haven't paid a toll from EZ Pass...
Seeing as the nearest toll road is about 3000km away I'm pretty sure it ain't legit :)

Thanks, I was surprised to see that I did not have a connection of that plate to its tag.
I have been swapping cars a bit this year.

I have spent most of the start of the year with the flat battery problem.
A combination of loud music in the car and the tiny beep got me into this problem months ago.
Also the lag between when you do it and getting the notice can be 4 to 6 weeks. Since I live within a mile of the Sydney Harbour Bridge & the Tunnel and any trip north is through the Lane Cove Tunnel then it adds up to a lot of paperwork.

That's probably why I lost patience this time.

The future, your future, I am afraid.
