From the same article, there are also some questions based upon the highly processed nature, salt content and nutritional value of this product. pretty fitting that its being sold by BK.

I love eating meat, but I would happily chow down on one of those. I am also a weirdo that likes meat cooked 'well done', so I hope 'heme' burns down to a nice tasting caramel taste as well!

I came across 'not-burgers' ages ago, and even though they are nothing like real meat patties, they aren't too bad.

I tried the 'Vegan burger' at Hungry Jacks a while back. Its a shame, it could have been nice, but instead they absolutely smother it in sauce, so you have no idea what you are eating anyway. I am in no way a vegan, but I figured I would try it. Okay, but go easy on the sauce! Its not a 'sauce burger'!

I think eating synthetic meat is in our future for whatever reason, which is okay as long as it doesn't all look like tofu and actually tastes like meat!

In eastern europe / soviet block countrys they eat horse all the time. Imagine next to every packet of beef jerky at a petty station is a pack of horse meat. Actually it was even sold in video shops when i was there in 90s its popcorn

Why do people not want to eat horse? It has a very similar texture and taste to cow. I have only eaten horse once by accident but I had no idea it was horse until the local sitting next to me told me.

I did two months in Mongolia the best thing I ate their was horse it was delightful.
pretty sure I also ate yak or bison or something at least that's what I thought it translated too...

There is no one in my life going to stop me eating real dead animal, it's why we have brains.......

Between eating fish and meat humans grew brains more energy more protein it enabled us to develop...

Unless fermented soy is not a healthy alternative.
Blocks absorption of minerals such as magnesium ,iron and zinc.
Incorporated plant oils are not good either .

So that to me rules out any amatuer. Not keen to have an inoperable worm eating my brain from the inside out. Also cat - ew

freeze pork for a couple of weeks and it kills all the nasties, as per my old bosses who were meat and livestock inspectors.
unfortunately - this means no fresh pork, but after 30 odd years, my brain liver kidneys and assorted icky bits are still ok

I didn't say I particularly liked curried cat, but then - it tasted much like anything with a hefty dose of curry

Not my farms - just ones we help out on.

They lose loads and loads of mandarins, oranges, apricots, apples, nashis, grapes etc.

We wouldn't mind so much if the parrots ate the whole piece of fruit - but the mongrels will take a chunk out and either leave the remainder to rot on the branch/vine - or drop them on the ground.

One of the properties went bust after the owners kids all grew up and moved to the city - without the kids keeping the numbers of parrots down, he lost over 80% of his crop to damage, compared to the previous years.

I ate alot of wild boar in sri lanka.

Tell me more about the brain worm

Alt-meat is the coming thing but it's still highly processed. Remains to be seen if it's wholesome. I'd try it though.

Scuse me for being dense but are you saying the impossible burger has these adverse properties or something else?
And why would tofu not be a healthy alternative?
