So, Cammd, how are you going to fix the labour shortage?

Who's going to look after our ageing population?

And a bunch of other issues related to not having people to actually do the work?

300,000 births in Australia each year
80,000 abortions, so we are killing over 20% of the babies before their born and then importing 400,000+ people to fill less than 50,000 vacancies. Seems really stupid.

Maybe polices that make having a child a lot less daunting would encourage people to want a family.

Maybe making home ownership more affordable would be one such policy. I wonder how we could do that.

Successive governments have driven up the cost of living for years with dumb policies, net zero being the dumbest of the dumb, or is it? I think its deliberate, own nothing and be happy.

We can both acknowledge that the situation and how we got here is not great.

But I don't see how your suggestions are going to fix any of the issues in the short term?

Except maybe home ownership, if we have drastic reform that essentially makes housing a right instead of an investment?

Surely encouraging a (not insignificant) percentage of the work force to leave and have babies would only exacerbate the problem? Right?
At least for a couple of decades until all these new kids are able to enter the workforce.

Hopefully they're educated enough to make a difference, not sure where we will find enough teachers for hundreds of thousands more kids each year.

We could just have AI teachers them, I guess...
