You know tinnitus can be relieved by intense focus on the sounds that you can hear and the knowledge that no sounds are missing. That's how I make mine go away, works quickly 95% of the time.
It's not as easy as a psychosomatic solution. The only thing that worked for me was Alpha GPC + Curcumin. Would only work for 2-3hrs with every dose and then stop being effective after ~1yr. It took me months to even discover the tenuos relationship w/ Choline. Specialist doctors over here don't even know what these are... seriously.
I haven't experienced the hum for about 5 months; it comes and goes. It seems more common in winter, and if I take a cold plunge, it can trigger it, indicating a temperature relationship too.
It started in September 2019. When it began, it was like a large truck idling down the road, audible only in my bedroom, not outside, not in the bathroom, living rooms, etc. So, I suspected a generator or truck causing resonance in my bedroom. I cycled around the neighborhood for clues, asked neighbors, and sought answers online, facing the usual ridicule like 5G, boats in the harbor, etc. I even contacted the council. At one stage, it became very loud and quite unbearable.
