I recalled something about Spitfires using fishtail rather than round stacks to improve top end, but stumbled on this thread when I was refreshing my memory and DANG it's like HW all over again from years ago...

You'll like these ones as well... shows how humans get conditioned.

This video below is in Dutch but basically the experiment is;
1. Girls try and get people to join the red hat club
2. 30mins no luck
3. They set up a waiting line... no one joins
4. They put an actor in there, people start joining but they have no idea what they are waiting for.

You can work out the rest;

Reminds me of when I was in Sydney Town Hall Woolies one day looking at different cooler bags. I was trying to choose between two different ones and was verbalising my thoughts to a friend that was with me as I considered the features of each bag. Unknown to me, a person was standing behind us listening to what I was saying. By the time I decided on which one to buy and turned around, there was a small crowd of about 8 people standing and watching the 'demonstration'.
