I had to know which beach that gif zooms to.

It seems to line up somewhere around 11.157594°, -71.831678°, but the features a few more frames on don't match anything around there, apart from the shape of the coastline itself.

definitely looks like gulf of venezuela, and when you get around the bay a bit the water looks shallow like it has heaps of little wind waves breaking... add it to the list!

it looks like the Yucatán. General consensus is this is where the location of the meteorite hit that was responsible for the K/T extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs.
