I've often dreamed about having an amphibious car and driving straight across the river to Booragoon/ Applecross, missing the freeway's bumper to bumper congestion, plus of course the 25km drive. Just cruise off the Pelican point ramp like the Catalina flying boats of old straight to Applecross, with only a 3km cruise and minimal traffic. Looks as if someone is living (in) their dreams, they're just missing the expensive floaty bits their car requires for the journey.
