As a non surfer I am interested as why you guys wear black wetsuits...looking similar to seals thus fodder for jaws?

Hear on the wireless (radio) today about a guy who has created a wax that he hopes will frighten off sharks, its got wax x2, coconut oil, and herbs and spices that would scare off snakes, mice, dogs etc
He is tryig it out next month down our way between Boston & Neptune Islands hope that dont have to pull his remains out.
