Maybe it is not just "pure hate" of different ocean enthusiasts ? could it possibly be more about the lack of respect & poor etiquette exhibited to others in a "line up" ?

Malibu sitting on the shoulder whist it pipes behind them. That annoying old guy on the sup that catches it way out the back and then flicks off just after the take off zone as I watch it roll down the line as I bang my head against the board. That kook bodyboarder that paddle in and never make the drop. So many of my beautiful waves wasted. Clubbie know it alls is cock jocks, that should be an offence in itself. Finally those waneker kites that buzz through, not even riding them propably, dropping kites on us, downright dangerous.
People just need to enjoy surfing in its purest form, on a 6'2. Everything else is a waste and God know there already too many people out there to bother with that ****.

I've got a pile of the surfer's Bible's from the 00s era in my garage I like looking through occasionally and riding anything longer than 6'2 was considered as heresy by the mag editors.
Perhaps decade of brainwashing takes its toll.

I hate empty waves, its boring by yourself. Its annoying when you pick the wrong one and you could have had any one of the other ones

Here's my wacky theory...........................

Surfings a bit of a zero sum game. Only so many waves near the majority of people's locals. When you hear people getting beaten up over a wave things are pretty silly. See how fussy people get when there is a line up at a ski chair lift (same thing), we're all capable of doing it.

Put people in a zero sum game and the fun ends really fast and the worst parts come out. Anger, frustration, resentment, jealousy... on and on.

If you find yourself in one of these places, find something else to do (or a solution for everyone i.e synergy) . Big world, save yourself the grief.

Im a loner I dont have any real desire to associate or be around other people. Id rather talk to my dog. Mabe on forums I annoy people. When in person. Ill usually keep to myself apart from the few personality's I get along with. If your lucky enough to gain my trust and friendship it will be forever. .
