theres quite a rumble at the moment about the "Storm Area 51; they can't stop all of us" thing. Apparently some people are deadly serious. Considering there are nearly 1.5 million people pledging there support. I reckon a few people will do it anyway even if it was supposed to be a joke. Even 10-15,000 people would never be stopped.
Would be interesting, to find out what's in there.

I reckon personally reckon they have f_ucked up with some chemical In there. If you went in there without full radiation clothing on you won't turn out to good. That's why they don't want people in there.

I think you are just applying logic from your frame of reference eg. maths and cost. I get what you mean (astrological distances, time etc), but who is to say that what ever other sentient beings out there aren't 1. semi-immortal, or at least ridiculous long lived, 2. so technologically advanced that the distance is trivial eg worm holes, 3. from parallel universe (multi verse theory) and thus not actually overcoming distance / time - just travelling between planes of existence 4. not flesh and blood like us... and there is an infinite number of other variations that might apply... think about that...infinite

yes, i read too much sci fi - but most of the good stuff is founded on the cutting edge physics being done. or written by ex-workers in these fields.

My view is when we considers these things, all our preconceived notions are pretty useless. I hope i see the physics "game changer" occur in my life time that revolutionises human existence - before we destroy the planet / ourselves etc.



note: on area51. the tin foil hat guys that push this stuff all reckon the original area 51 is now all privately owned, and that way US gov now has 100% deniability. the company slowly releases technology to the world that it developed from the UFOs, and hence market leads the world... that'stheir theory anyhow.

Quite a few years ago aliens was being discussed on this site.

I made the comment then that I had no idea whether or not they existed and that the universe being what it is statistically it would be odd if they did not.

I also said that the powers that be would pull pull one out of a hat in the event that they found a reason to.
