We have 2 deferred holidays and will be asking what assurance will we have that all pillows, doonas, etc are safe.
I am not talking just sheets and pillow slips but everything.
Are we being unrealistic and over cautious?

If you are that worried, strip the bed and spray the mattress with something strong before remaking it with your own bedding

Yes.

Take a can of Glen-20 or whatever and give the common surfaces a wipe down when you get to the room. Then go an eat out at a cafe that hasn't wiped the salt and pepper grinder since, well never.
