I will be competing in the Rottnest Channel Swim on 25/2/17. The swim is from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island (20 k's). To participate each swimmer needs a boat & skipper as support. Mate, you might need some incentives to get any bites, beers, cash, over night accom, first born daughter. Not much fun supporting all day without any reward.

For the swim you also need a kayak paddler, spotter, reserve paddler at a minimum. If your paddler gives up you are out of the water. I skippered for a good friend last summer. Perfect conditions and it was still the most harrowing 7 hours of boating in my life...
