Does any one have a setup that they use to rinse sand off their boards/wetties/feet before heading home? I have been looking for a suitable option, which initially started out as something to rinse the sand off my children's feet before getting in the car and has now progressed to wanting to rinse the sand off my boards before loading them up.

A few months ago, I purchased a Rinsekit but had a very bad experience with it. The idea was great and the actual product certainly looked the business. It was tough looking and looked like it was made of quality equipment. Unfortunately, mine leaked due to a shredded rubber ring. Once that was fixed, I found the setting that I used most only gave me a maximum of 30 seconds of decent pressure. After the 30 seconds, the pressure dropped off to a slow stream and lasted about another minute at most.

So, that experience aside, I'm now thinking that something that can be re pressurized would be the best option. From the moderate research that I have done, it seems that most products are home made.

Open for some feedback.

I keep a weed sprayer with water in it, the 1lt pump up ones from bunnings. Works well

just carry a 20l jerry can and tip over stuff ?

haha, that is a possibility! Once upon a time I used a 2 litre plastic OJ bottle. Something with a sprayer is what I'm look for though. Picky, I know.

I use a 5l bottle from Bunnings. It weighs and cost not much and the relatively small neck size means the water doesn't come out in a rush.

I fill it with hot water and wrap it with a towel. At the end of a session I have warm water to wash down with and a warm towel to dry off with.

I tried a sprayer for a while. It was a pain to mess around with fittings and all the rest. Keep it simple.

I use a 1lt because Im by myself but you can get 10lt ones.

There is a ripper product ex USA, but because it contains a battery, it is either unavailable for delivery to Aus or is ridiculously expensive. If anyone has a reasonable way around the expense, grab one for me, please.
I'm sure surf shops would be able to sell them hand over fist. Just remember where you heard it!

I use a plastic bucket fill it up throw it over the board sail boom mast.a couple of trips to the tap.works well.

leave a bottle on dashboard in sun, or pre heat it on the way with demister. These look like a better way of dispensing:

I rinse everything off in the ocean before to goes into the van.
If I missed a spot, I just pour any left over beer on it, but there is rarely any left over beer, so some sand can make it home.

I have a 40 ltr plastic drum with a 12v water pump with 3mtrs of garden hose attatched , works a treat , dog love it as well.
Could attatch a shower head to it I supose .

Hang on! Warm water?!! Bottles left in the sun? !!

Thanks everyone for your comments. Have been looking into a few of them. I really like the idea of the Car Cube, but doesn't seem to be on the market anymore.

I'll comb the aisles of Bunning's again and perhaps Autobarn for a solution.

BCF 12 volt shower , plug into cigarette lighter socket and pump into 20ltr water container.

if it's just sand you want to remove then grab yourself the broom part of a dustpan and broom set. Most of the time the sand is dry on you so it comes off really easily with a bit of a brush. Works a treat for in between toes too.
Otherwise a bucket and fill it with water!!
