It's funny , ( in a depressing sad way ) , when you have to pay someone to take our recyclables.

West oz two bins where we are and three are being rolled out in a couple months.. half the suburbs have three already....
Two different trucks come and pick up one bin each.... both trucks go to same tip and throw it all into the same hole...
Councils where three bin systems are have three trucks
all three trucks pick up three different bins from same house than go to same location and tip in same hole....

Quit your complaining and build you own recycling plant. Learn to wipe your own ass instead of expecting some one else to do it for you.

I hear your pain but that Vid is a load of crock .
There are soooo many huge cracks in it , where do I start ? That vid is a feel good vid , sadly nothing more .
Ill give a simple view .
Perfectly clean unused compatible plastic containers can be reused , mixed with virgin plastic . Kinda just .
The polluted plastic stuff we put in our recycle bins doesn't work . It takes way more dolphin killing energy to recycle this stuff than to make new plastic . It doesn't make sense on All levels.
I unfortunately know this .
Its like the recycle paper coffee cups thing some outlets are doing . Trust me if you want , ( dare ) .
Its going into a tip , or were paying someone to take it away .
It is Way better to plant new trees , ( not so bad ) ,to make new paper to make new cups , apposed to collecting , transporting , ,sorting , grading , cleaning , mulching , seperating , ( with lots of clean water ) , paint , glue , petroleum fake wax , to end up with a really crap grade of paper that has to be mixed with virgin paper to work.
As long as we think it's helping......

we call all learn a lot from Lismores revolve centre .You drive in with your mountain of crap from the weigh bridge to the aircraft hanger then wait there while 3 burly dudes rifle through all your crap that was destined for landfill - watch as they sort it all on pallets in their designated piles ready to be resold on tuesday morning where a stampeed of greedy bargain hunters practically kill each other to make their piles of crap to then rebuy and take back to their place.It is frig'n hillarious , awesome and totally opportunistic all in one.someone needs to film this behaviour because it is trully unique and a goldmine for some visionaries, pretty sure it still goes strong to this day

It may be out there , but I don't recall seeing a plasic straw on the beach or sticking out of a turtles nose , ever .
So they ban the plastic straw in Cairns .
I like a double vodka and lemonade when on holiday , makes me feel good . I need two dissolving straws , and I drink quick . That's two milled , bleached , pulped , dyed and covered with perolium waxed half assed straws that use three times the energy to produce ........ ?

If you could absolutely incinerate your plastic , and other flammables , properly , with minimum soot, to generate power , it would have to be better than the energy sapping cloak that we are now doing.

I would think a litre of foul slime bong water would be better to safely dispose than ten tonnes of crap floating in our oceans . And also making a lot of energy to propel our new electric everything's . And could possibly turn that slime into roads or park benches .
Singapore ain't that dumb.
