I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that has a complete change in motivation levels between summer and winter?

In summer, I generally won't head to the water unless I can rig something smaller than my biggest gear.

In winter, I'll be straight in the car if I see a leaf move....

Am I the only one?

Late last summer I stopped sailing due to the heat. Just don't enjoy the sport as much when it's 30 plus degrees.

A warm NW or even a westerly in the winter is perfect.

It's being spoilt for choice isn't it.
In summer you X amount of days to sail in a week
I winter you get X amount of days to sail in a month.
So like you said, sub perfect conditions in winter im ready to go, and i'm also willing to risk my life in the winter fronts just to get wet.
Though unlike PM33 i love sailing in boardies and a t shirt.

You surely are on drugs. When did we get a seabreeze (the strongest and most consistent wind) in Perth and it was over 30?
I can understand the slight frustration of maybe sailing in a 30kn easterly then when you finish at 9am it is hot as you derig and the wind is gone.... maybe a tiny bit. Not enough to stop sailing for summer, especially in the afternoons.
