A guy flew his RC quadcopter through some 4th July fireworks last week, filming from a rather unique perspective.

Turn down the lights, turn up the sound, go full screen.......and enjoy!

Very cool. But I don't reckon it's 4 July fireworks - was uploaded before 4 July and looks a bit like Perth to me.

Very cool nonetheless.

It's West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. But yeah, seems it couldn't have been 4th July.

Really cool- half expected to see a direct hit and have the footage spiral downwards...

They're becoming a lot more affordable too which is cool

Be nice when you can train them to track and focus on some kind of transponder- put it on the nose of your board etc and get some footage

Awesome vid, looks like the quad might have some powder burns too.

It does look a hell of a lot like Perth for somewhere that isn't...but it isn't.

Not really.
The shoreline is similar but that's all.

Perth from the air at night shows up Kings Park as a large black area on the north of the river and west of the city. It's not there.
Plus the lit up tall buildings on both sides of the river stand out really well. They're not there either.
Plus that vid seems to have a well lit up silo looking building about where WACA grounds are in Perth.
WACA stands out really well from the air when it's lit up at night, but it doesn't have any silo there like in the vid.

But yes, the shape of the shoreline with the Narrows on the west and the causeway on the east is similar.

I like that idea like they have on golf buggies you'd have to be able to set the floor, wouldn't want to crash into your or another kite
