A man who truly loved and lived his life. A sad loss.

Bummer - man was a legend - although never seen as many fights as after his show in Weipa! Certainly got folks fired up.

I remember almost 30 years ago watching Phil and his brother Tommy doing a set playing the one guitar together at The Venue, Dee Why. Mind blowing stuff.

Sad news indeed, a great loss of a great guitarist and person. Long time ago I used to see the Emmanuel Brothers Band at the Three Weeds Hotel or the Bridge Hotel in Rozelle. Those were memorable events. RIP Phil.

You reminded me of when they were both in Goldrush, and performed at the Harbord Diggers a few times in the late 70s when Donnie Sutherland was the host every Sunday night.

Phil on guitar, Tommy on drums, and they would double up on guitars.

Great memories.
