I'm Perth for a few days over the next couple of weeks with work. What's worth looking at in my spare time?

Day trips? Have you got transport or relying on taxi/Uber/public transport?

Mustang Bar of a Wednesday night! And possibly the new "wave pool" in Joondalup.

Uber, I don't have whole days free. Just after work, say 4 or 5pm onwards.

LoL. You must be south of the river. Me too

Only having free time after 5 restricts things a bit. But assuming you are staying in the city I second Freo. You can catch a train or taxi/Uber, but train certainly will be cheaper.
The CBD its self is not too bad these days with a few small bars around.
Kings Park might be worth a look if you're into those sort of things.
Do you kite or windsurf? You might get a quick sail in if wind force are still around or maybe second wind on the south side.

All of the beaches are amazing, especially in the early morning.

There are great bike paths all around the river so hiring a bike is a great way to look around, especially if you're based in the CBD.

Bike ride along the river sounds great. Easy to ride all the way to Freo along the river?

Freo is the pick of the spots between Perth and Freo IMO.
Sunset on the fishing boat harbour. Couple of cold beers and feed. Nothing better.
Plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, all in close proximity. Train line all the way back to Perth.
You can ride the bike path all the way along the river. (bar East Fremantle Yacht Club/Bicton Pool area)
If you go the southern river shoreline don't forget to stop in the the Left bank hotel.

Dont forget to climb the bell tower. It will be an afternoon of unimaginable fun with precious memories that will last forever.

If your into non stop action ,excitement and vivacity look no further than the pinnacles The pinnacles is a "must see" tourist destination it really hits a home run and sets the benchmark.

Those last two posts are too cruel .....

Dirty Nellys in Shafto Lane for a beer with all the other expats. Leederville (orVic Park) for food (Northbridge is overrated), but you will be on expenses.....

OBH and Cott Beach Hotel for another beer, after a swim. Scarboro is construction site at present

Leave early and Sail at Peli Point after work (think the hire is still there) or if proficient go sailing for great whites at Leighton North Freo.

Go to rotto stay overnight and come back next morning.

Hire a bike, store at hotel (or work) and ride in morning and arvo.

Perth does not have surf. Just dumpers. Be careful.

It's a 360 degree video screen. Not sure why it is taking so long - they have been at it for a few years now.

I think that is old news!

thewest.com.au/opinion/kate-emery/stop-moaning-perths-not-as-pricey-anymore-ng-b88675176z

Property has just turned as well, after 5 (8?) years of downwards trend, with Perth now having one of the easiest markets to enter in the country.

A couple of geriatric farmers trying to dodge tax. They were making big bucks in the 1970's which is when they decided to create their own 'kingdom'. The farm isn't as profitable now so it is just a couple of slighly mad old geezers trying to keep up appearances.... I think you might be able to get a Hutt River Provence mug at a gift shop, and maybe a tea towel from their 1985 stock.

Or any shopping really....they are all the same, one Coles and one Woolies at each end, a Target and a K mart (if you go to a good one in the middle), and a myriad of smaller windows selling pretty much the same shaite in all of them (cheap china imports), the Telecoms shop, etc.
The Pet shop window is usually the highlight were you can see some bogan families hypnotized choosing their new family member.
