Anyone park motorbikes at the domestic airport?
What's the go because the long term is supposed to be same price for bikes and cars but as far as I know other airports charge far cheaper or free for motorbikes.
Another west coast rip off?

"You can park your motorcycle in the car park area of your choice. Motorcycles must be parked within dedicated parking bays. The same parking rates apply for motorcycles and cars."

Straight off their website.

I fly to Malaysia a couple of times a year, with cheap Air Asia flights parking at Perth usually costs me more than each flight does.

Well the tickets you get don't display your bike rego as the cameras at the gates take only front photo of a vehicle.

Best off leaving it with the long term parking mob in Kewdale, undercover etc. If I can think of their name I'll get back to you, however, it's generally the same price as cars as said earlier. In the last ten years I've watched it go from $75.00 for two weeks right up to $199.00 that I'm now paying. And yes, the only evidence kept is a photo of the front number plate, although there are lots of overhead cameras. Best keep the ticket with you in a plastic folder so it doesn't get out of shape, this can be troublesome...

All the new carparks don't have dedicated bike parking regardless of what the website says (Maybe there might be in the cars park H extension and the website might be reflecting this).

I work at the airport and have never seen a bike go through the boom gates. They all go in and out of the pedestrian gate at the northern end of the carpark. Another favourite trick for a lot of people is to tailgate you out the boom gates.

honestly, if you were going to be away for more then a week, it is cheaper to catch a taxi (even cheaper if you go Uber ), then it is to pay Perth Airport parking.

Got a couple of FIFO mates who ride to the airport purely for the reason they don't have to pay. They just cruise into the short term and pick a car bay. On the way out, check no cops or rangers about and slip out across the kerb. Too easy.

Was in at the virgin terminal yesterday and there must be 20+ bikes there as you drive in on the right at domestic. In short term park. Some look to be there a long time too.

Those boom gates are pretty short at that carpark, looks like plenty of room to fit a bike around beside them without even leaving the bitumen.
