It seems that gimbals are becoming obsolete. 360 cameras are getting good enough and cheap enough and have built-in 6-axis stabilization. You simply run the camera then extract the shots you want using an app or desktop software. The camera and software automatically keeps the horizon level and the shot centred on whatever you choose.
