Not a ocean related post but a few engineering friends told me about the issues in NSW water supply over a few beers.

It looks bleak for a lot of towns in regional NSW, with Level 4 restrictions.

Some towns are talking about closing down while others are trucking in potable water. The pressure will come onto the government, with coal mines buying up a lot of water to keep operating. Farmers and irrigators are adjusting so their towns can survive.

We have only just got into summer, so by February 2020 there will be more in the news as the situation gets worse.
