One word immediately springs to mind - garbage

Contrast this with a nice song and a stunning voice.

Mmm, perhaps you're just not looking in the right places. Your assessment is lazy.

I could fill this thread with amazing modern music but I'll stop at one.

Patsy who ???? Seriously never heard of him/her ???
Thank god global warming and chemtrails have wiped out the Fonzie style music of yester year.

Lots of great artists out there. Im sure everyone on here has seen this, but, great talent, mixing, playing recording in her lounge room and a voice that just melts you. Awesome to see live if you get the chance.

Saw this 6 foot 5 bloke with a mullet, covered in tatts, arms wider than my whole body,
he looked like the typical WA redneck type, you know the type- no neck, big attitude and no respect for anyone.
he was listening to her play live and he had tears streaming down his face as she sang a piece with no instrumental, just her bone chilling voice.
Just angelic.

I think it was Chris Rock that said we will always like the music we had sex to in our youth.

My downstairs 29 year old neighbour was playing rap **** in the morning loud.

I had to give him a ticking off on threat of no more favours and it did the trick.

Admittedly I've listened to a few decent rap songs but most are not conducive to harmony of the mind, quite the opposite actually.

I don't think Pete's had sex before. That's why he doesn't like any good music

I think most people look like that in WA, even the girls! You sure it was a guy?

There is nothing wrong with appreciating a good voice. Its a special gift and I am jealous of people that have it.*

I went to a work function many years ago and the company had Kate Ceberano playing live, and I swear that she didn't need the sound system and her voice was incredible.... and I am sure that there are even better singers out there.

I have to say I love acoustic live sets if you can hear one on a good sound system, or if you are really lucky, live.

*I always tell people I got something in my eye when I hear that sort of voice and pretend that I am not amazed.. Sand. Eye. You understand.

Can not bring myself to watch any of the contrived music shows on tv's mass produced "talent" shows.

IMO this has to be one of the most talented artists I've seen in a long time. No labels behind him, just singing for his supper (plus he's an Aussie).

The last minute 30 seconds or so of the mirrors video is what I define as grunge music.

Listening to this sort of music for an hour a day is going to have a big influence on your daily state of mind.

As sure as night follows day its going to destroy any harmony you have with the world.
