Watching these videos I saw some parallels to shaping boards and foils and things. It's a nice slow video to watch on a rainy day during a lockdown.

It's surprising how brutal the process is. Also interesting is seeing the wounds accumulate on fingers as he goes along.

Edgar Meyer's music is worth following up.

Only 4 coffee breaks? A lot of spruce turned into chips - by hand!

But it just wouldn't be the same in carbon.

Man I wish I had spent more time in my grandads shed (antique furniture restorer). Now I struggle to put up a damn shelf (my wife calls me Frank Spencer).
That was a great vid, thanks. My dad has built a few classical guitars so I can relate.

These are the things that, when the plague or asteroid wipes out 98% of the earth's population, will be lost because they're so damned specialized. And that makes me sad, because there'll still be twerkers on every street corner.

This stuff can be learnt. You don't need someone to teach you, and just need to do stuff and learn as you go.

Yeh no doubt. Got friend who can turn his hand to just about everything. It's amazing watching him problem solve and do and the solutions are always so simple and intuitive. But he's spent his whole life doing as such whilst mine was spent in physics and maths books!!!
