Hi

After advice please, just learning kitesurfing, have got my own gear and want to continue during winter.
I can get up on the board, but can't yet go back and forth. I've done all of my kiting down on the river in Melville.

But my job is based in Kwinana and was wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere during the day I can go to continue practicing?
Also I've seen videos on YouTube of a sand anchor so I can launch and land the kite, what are your thoughts?

Safety Bay at penguin island is the best for learners followed by woodman point.
Park in the carpark at the end of penguin rd and kite downwind of the schools.
Spend one good day down there and you will be riding back and forth like a boss.

Yeah recommend Shoalwater at pengos for learners. All so recommend the cable park at Baldivis to work on board skills.

Most winter winds are frontals which are highly unpredictable, you can be on a 17 and 7 in a session, be conciouse of surrounds and hazards,
Not the best conditions in which to learn or be taught, IMHO wait till the sb starts to kick in.

Yeah totally agree with cauncy winter winds are not the best for learning. Go to the cable park and nail your board skills. They have great deals for a winter season pass, even if you only do a few visits to the cable park it will improve your board skills witch will make your kiting so much easier. When the wind is consistant again head to shoalwater bay.

You are definitely not ready for winter kiting.
wait till you've been kiting at least 2 years before you even think about it.
