I need to get some tee nuts preferably 316 ss in fine thread.
Please help as not much luck on Google .

I found some on ebay, but they are probably 304.

I think there is a guy on the forum here that has inserts specifically for kiteboards. They have a blind end, to stop the screw going further, whereas normal t-nuts don't.

I found M6 and M8 threaded inserts like used for furniture, on ebay in 316. Really cheap from China etc.
Not as convenient as a tee nut, but an option

I needed one for a go foil. Ended up getting one fabricated locally out of brass. $20 cost was reimbursed by Alex (Go Foil). I also purchased a spare from them; they are exy with postage. Steve from Ozone said he could access some as well. Maybe pm him. Mine were M8.

replace it with a standard m6*1 Buy a stainless helicoil kit drill and retap No requirement or a fine thread. bad engineering but cleaver marketing At its finest. . .bet you glad its not American imperial garbage.

soz was drinking the other night dont even think post make sence. only ever used fine threads for fine adjustment on handles indexing stepping motors and larger diametre shafts where the inner thread pitch is that great it creates a failure fatigue point. depending on the loading directions a finethread would be a stronger fastener.

But if one is building a board, not repairing, there is many many ways to add an insert for a whole lot less than $8 each

The whole Naish board is about $8 materials total.

So, is he repairing a $800 board (ripoff) where the 30c part you pay $8 for later has failed........ or building his own and looking for options ??Very different questions I'd say....
