Here's a thread that lets you post a link to something odd, unusual, or downright strange.

The idea is that if you come across something strange when you pull up the driftnet, don't throw it over the side, post it here instead so that others can enjoy it.

I'll kick off with something that made me go "wtf?" today:

Me thinks I should have looked at the first links to get an idea of the thread.

Kinda missed the point by a few metres there

Farrrrrk Haircut,

how that guy managed to land that thing is beyond me... reminds me of when I was flying with a friend, we were going opposite ways around the landing strip, his wingtip hit my fin, he did a 360 and landed, my plane started off OK but then did a flat spin and ended up in the garbage bag (not surprising when your fin is hanging by the control horn) ...

he must have had a bit of practice flying "knife edge", that's all I know!

Ah yes....that one's been around for a while now. Certainly takes some presence of mind and skill to pull that off though! I've had some near misses in my R/C flying (minor boom strike mid flight on the heli is a good one!), but never one like that.

i lost half my glider elevator when i collided fairly high up with another glider, but managed to land ok only because i had enough height and time to learn how to control it, but thats about the worst of it for me

this R/C boat, plane combo was posted a year or so back but incase anyone missed it, heretis again

Way back when I started flying R/C on a 2 channel Aeroflyte Albatross glider, I ended up with it partially destroyed by a bird. Turns out the vacant field I used to go to wasn't completely vacant.....there was a nesting Plover there who took exception to me flying around. This thing repeatedly attacked my glider until I was forced to land....by the time I got it down I had a couple of huge rips/gashes in the solarfilm on the top of one wing and some pretty hefty leading edge damage!!
