Greetings, all fans of the nautical and other wind-related escapades. I recently accompanied my mad adventurer mate Willy on his long held dream involving the above enterprise. He built the land yacht, and funded the voyage, including me as the support vehicle driver and chronicler of this most unlikely caper. The goal was to sail a land yacht from Port Augusta across the centre of Australia to the Gulf of Carpentaria, using only the wind. I'm a writer and award-winning performance poet/storyteller, and am putting up the journal of the story with pics on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/landsailaustralia if you want to head over for a laugh about our little trip. There are four instalments up as I write this, and I'll be posting daily. Hope you enjoy it.

Writing question, can you use Debacle as a verb?

I fixed the link in the original post - it had a spurious comma at the end
