Hi guys. This is totally unrelated to water sports so I apologise in advance. My iphone has ios7. For ages it has been trying to get me to upgrade to iso8. The thing is, it's about 16gb and I don't have broadband. I went to the apple shop today and they said they can download the software directly into my phone but doing so will overwrite or delete what is in my phone. They said I need to back it up using iTunes. The thing is, I don't have iTunes nor internet at home. I do, however, use a USB cable about once a month to remove all my photos and I manually back these up onto two separate hard drives along with many other documents related to work etc.
Long story short, when they say I need to back everything up, are they referring to just my photos and videos or does it also refer to my apps? Does using iTunes back up my apps? I don't mind losing the data on my apps so long as I do not lose my apps and have to repay for them. Thanks in advance.
Haha thanks anyway mate. Yeah I kind of do live in a cave. I have access to internet at work so having it at home seems expensive and unnecessary. Why then did I get an iphone? I don't know. It was a poor, costly decision.
Time to get an internet connection mate. Laptops are cheap and you don't need the top of the range. I've had to do the same recently, it sucks at first but it makes things easy once its all set up and if you shop around its not as expensive as you would think.
Unless you really need IOS8 for one of your apps to work, then don't bother. It's a resource hungry pig. I put it on my ipad mini 1st gen and hate it.
To answer your question though, given that you have paid for apps it means you will have an itunes account, which means you wont have to pay for the apps again, just reinstall them.
