Hi all looking for any information on the pictured board. My brother has a shed full of 20th century boards and reckons this is the best of them??????.
He has not been able to find any info on the net so any help much appreciated.

BTW - no help on board apart from Mark's comment above apart from is it a Mistral (it doesn't look like a mistral panAm though???)

Thanks for the replies guys, but we had a fair idea that it was a Mistral PanAm C1 but that's all . The dagger board is not in the wrong way around and according to my elder brother
this board works really well in heavy weather.

Yep got the posting wrong. Does anyone know how to repost or do I have to start again?.

So in the early 80's before the World Cup started they had an event in Hawaii that was the Pan Am Cup. It had offshore course racing and slalom I think. It was a sort of run with what ya brung thing. It expanded to become the Pan Am World Cup and people sort of experimented with all sorts of ideas. The sailing was offshore in big winds. Most of the boards were custom. I suspect that is a production board made to be like the Pan Am boards that existed around 83/84.

like they were never actually manufactured just "found" one day in a quantity large enough theyd have enough for every board and some spair to hang around in sheds

Pretty sure I had one of these back in the early 80's. First board I ever owned.
Think the name of the company was Challenger sailboards.
The boards were all built by an Austrian guy in a factory in Heidelberg, Vic.

Dam the responses are getting sensible.

So, I recon the dagger board is not in back to front but just got excited.
