A couple of years ago I started a thread about petrol pumps selling short measure.
My suspicions have been confirmed

I once had a pump that kept on increasing after I finished. It was only 10 or 20 cents. But the dude didn't believe me.

I'd hate to think the accuracy of butchers weights..

Fraud is rampant. Even a bag of premix mortar from Bunnos is underweight.

Packets of chips come to mind. And protein powder.

They're certainly half empty, or half full. Has anyone ever bothered weighing them?

Local station had a pump that would put 65 litres into my 60 litre tank even when the fuel gauge was nowhere near empty.

On the bright side, my 250 grams punnet of strawberries was 320 grams. Bargain!

Packet height vs product height.

The bars used to be 40g ea. But now they're 35g ea. Price stayed the same.

I know the answer to the powder one, when the tubs are filled the powder goes to the top, as it settles it goes down about half way. Cheaper to make a big tub than fill it slowly.
