Great Video! Geez tough crowd. The whale is bigger than first thought - it's 30 tonne. The Council has been negotiating the hire of 2 big cranes and a mining sized Haul Pack to move it. They also need a special permit for the truck and its oversized load. Besides stopping people climbing on the whale what do you expect the workers on the beach to do in the meantime?
Maybe - just maybe the nupties should never have let it wash ashore in the first place. It should have been towed 20km out to sea... How fricken dumb are they?
The local council is in the process of removing a large smelly Whale that washed on to its shoreline.
Except to leave it there to continue rotting away for 6 months what else can the local Council do?
A better and cheaper option would be if a State Government organisation such as Fisheries towed the whale several k's out to Sea before it washed up in the first place.
