I am sure that most of us has similar problem with water stack for long in ears , long after sailing session?
How do you deal with that problem and if that effect your hearing and well being?
I did try droplets : Aquae Ears, Swimmers Ear, Wasxol with only partial results.
At mine case only one ear seems to be effected ( fortunately ) .

Do you use any plugs when sailing to prevent water going in?

Jump as high as you can and land on your heels a few times.

Pour a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a piece of cotton and then squeeze it to put two or three drops of it right in your ear. You want to have the ear pointing up. You should feel the alcohol unplugging the ear right away.

Should that fail, put a nip or two of good rum into a glass and sip slowly. Should that fail repeat the entire process.

Go out in public, find the hottest lady around and bend over in front of her. This has the uncanny ability to make that pent up water gush from your nose in a most satisfying/disgusting torrent that can't possibly happen any other way.

You could be developing Surfers Ear
It is a bone growth within the ear canal
Go see a doctor and get a referral to an ENT

Putting anything into ear wont help if bone is grown over to far as the water wont drain, it will in time cause you to get ear infections ad dirt / sand / wax build up, will get trapped inside your ear.

Find an ENT and get a referral
Iv had both ears drilled as was down to a pin hole, now can drive a bus into ear.
I still wear Doc Pro Plus when kite surfing etc to protect ear drum if i head slam the water.

Go the doctors once a year or so and get the ear purged out.......could be wax and crap wedged hard up against the ear drum.

Wax sol for 2 days prior then purged by doc.

You can Get these rearplugs from where ever you buy quality wingdings

There are these really thin tubes you can buy at craft stores with an ID of about .75mm. About 500mm long. I carefully stick one end in the ear and just suck it out and have done for years now. Works great. I have swimmers ear so it's the only instant solution for me.

I had issues with water in the ear (predominately one side). Started wearing Doc's pro plugs to prevent it getting in. After about a year or so, water was in there that I just couldn't get out. So annoying I went to the doctor. Was Wax build up. when I start getting water in there that hangs around, it's a couple of days of wax sol or similar, then getting the ears flushed (have had some success doing it myself now too).

Thats gold...suck the water out of your own ear...If it works do it...

Like many things prevention is better than cure. I find oiling up the ear canal before going near water helps repel water. A bit of coconut oil with a drop or two of your fave essential oil helps a lot. Oil of cloves helps purify things and keep the bugs at bay.

Top little Aussie company there. It is super powerful stuff and keeps well. A few drops into your wash machine rinse cycle helps your clothes smell real fresh too.

I have a box of Docs pro samples. About 10 different sizes, some for left some for right ear.

Problem for me with Doc Pro, my left and right is not the same size. So samples is a must before buying.
