Go to Greece and eat a tomato. You'll be disgusted with what's on offer here when you return.

Home grown tomatoes always taste better than the ones from the store. Don't ask me why. Maybe the store bought ones are ripened artificially?

considering costa has almost 50% market share , there is a good chance your eating one of their preferred 'indeterminate' varietiy of tomato - usually a dirk type that has minimal to sour flavour qualities but superior growth and management properties- but rest assure the tomatoes are vine ripened just sadly lacking taste

Tomotoes should be sold by flavour index, not weight.

Sorry to sound rude but...

Sedintary people, what you do or don't eat matters greatly!

Highly active people, what you do or don't eat only highents your performance slightly.

Can't stand when sedintary people go on about diet or wholesome foods etc. No, you're unfit because you do nothing. I can eat what I want really... At 20+ km a day I do what I want in terms of diet and makes little difference. Quit worrying about the food, get off your arse and do some exercise.

This is somewhat true in weight terms, but not for holistic health. Many many cases of the 50 year old gym enthusiast at optimal weight who has a stroke or heart attack due to 30 odd years of poor diet, stiffening arteries, high cholesterol etc etc.

not trying to scare etc, but we shouldn't undersell the value of good nutritious food. Eat as much as you want of it in a balanced way certainly.

People are starting to wise up I think, but I fear for those in lower education and socioeconomic circumstances.

That's a great idea! Have you seen it done somewhere else? Had a quick google but only came across this study on why it is the case, and where flavour comes from in tomatoes

www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0960982212004095

Im probably a bit sheltered from it as I eat a lot of cherry tomatoes either from home or they taste ok to me from markets in WA. But they paper certainly agrees that it isn't just boomers saying "these tastes better in my day"

My 49 year old six foot 140kg Indian mate

Gee i know Ganesh had something like four arms but six feet that's next level indian there Pete.

Would anyone really ignore such a threat given the choice? Maybe not anyone here, being watersport enthusiasts, but do you know or have you heard of anyone taking the high risk option with a similar choice?
