Anyone add an after market HUD?
I have a Subaru and thinking to add.
I also have a Commodore that has a factory HUD and love it so that's got me thinking to add to wife's Subaru Outback.

I added a GPS speedo HUD from Jaycar, and it works fine. It can use the OBD port to give you what the car thinks is the speed or you can use the GPS speed. You can also fine tune these to improve the accuracy.

I added mine because the car it is in has a terrible speedo and you can't easily tell the exact speed. So far the HUD is great and the only difference is there is a slight delay when accelerating as the GPS picks up the current speed.

Provided you've got power available, the waze app on your phone is a great driving tool. Nice low cost option.
Get a quadlock set up and you're good to go!
