Hawaiian pizza inventor dies aged 83

I write with a heavy heart that Sam Panopoulos, the inventor of the Hawaiian pizza, has died today at aged 83.

I have it on good authority the Hawaiian was possibly the first pizza with all the major food groups

Meat - the ham
Fruit - pineapple
Vegetable - tomatoes in the sauce
Dairy- cheese
Grains - in the dough base

Pizza is even shaped like the food pyramid..... coincidence? I think not

if there's any justice in the world then he's going straight to hell to burn for eternity. cooked pineapple is a crime against humanity

I bet he is desperately wanting GOD to like his "revolutionary" pizza. Failure to do so could potentially be kicked out of heaven. Not nice !

A truly revolutionary cultural icon- invented by a Greek, in Canada, redefining an Italian dish by adding a fruit (pineapple) native to South America and giving it the name of a Polynesian Island .

Which is why it's not called "ham" on the pizza, but "Canadian bacon".

Your right about the "domino effect"

Domino's Pizza opened on the ASX for around $2 in mid 2005 and peaked at $80 around mid 2016 ( a 40% pa. gain).

A great investment (particularly if you made it!)
