no, its probably just me... but I made the mistake of buying some Smart Led lights from Bunnings, and now my whole house has them.
It started out okay, but then Bunnings dropped the bulbs to half price, and then down to $4 each! Now, every single light fixtures have smart leds, and I don't even really have a need for them. Its sort of cool though that I can turn all the lights on and off in the loungeroom and dim them and all in a house that has wiring that was modern in the 80s.
I don't even know why I 'need' these, but I think I have been sucked in.
Can you provide a link to the $4 product you are talking about? I can't find anything close to that price on the Bunning website. For $4 I'd do the same, but everything I see is $15 or more.
Nah, you missed out. There were Sengled lights that they were selling and the original price was $19, and then Bunnings decided to run them out and they dropped the price to $10, and then the local store dropped them to $4 trying to get rid of them. I think the idea that they were 'smart' LEDs put people off and they didn't realise you could just use them as normal LED lights.
I bought the Zigbee ones, but the same brand has wifi controlled ones so you don't need a Zigbee hub. With the Zigbee ones you need a Sengled hub, or a Samsung SmartThings hub to talk to them. With the wifi ones you can just use their app on your phone, or a hub.
I noticed some stores still have some and others have none at all as they are no longer selling Sengled smart lights.
