Gee,.. that was close.
For a while there I though the Eagles were plucked,.. but they really put some effort into it and lost by only,.. 46 points.

Checked stats, not one gun fired there to day, not a bloody one. Blokes dropping marks, blokes handballing to Hawks, blokes not handballing to guys in the open, blokes kicking it to hawks, then to top it off, when they had a shot, it looked like there were all from the 2nds side.

Trouble with grand finals is the teams only get there because they are good.

The trouble is that on the day a great team can make a good team look pretty ordinary.

Congrats to Hawthorn for the drubbing and the Hat trick

Congrats to the Weagles for doing what nobody at the beginning of the year expected you to do which was make the top 8 let alone make the GF.

Hopefully the Weagles can treat it like the 91 GF

Speaking of Cyril it was good to see him get the Norm Smith. I used to live in Darwin and have been following him rise for a long time now, a well worthy winner.

Sucked in Eagles. Who cares about the past or the future. The pure and simple truth is written in the book. The Eagles got a flogging in the 2015 AFL grand final. No ifs no buts. No Dockers no nothing.
I will say it again just for those who are in denial or just wanna bring up the past... The Eagles got a big flogging. Ass whooping. They sucked. They chocked. They loss.

Whoa Greenroom, A fair bit of anger there. Sounds like to Eagles must have flogged whoever you follow at some tme during the year on their way to the GRAND FINAL, that's right, the GRAND FINAL. At least they were on the MCG on Saturday. As an Eagles supporter I and many Eagles fans I have spoken to were very impressed by Hawthorn, (who would have smashed any team in the competition on Saturday).
I am amazed by the hatred of the Eagles after this game, I even had a rabid Carlton supporter at work having a red hot go, even after he was reminded where they finished this year.
Why not acknowledege the great game played by the Hawks and don't worry I reckon they could go 4 in a row, and I think the Eagles will be up there as well, sorry to burst your bubble Greeny!!

The Hawks were good but we're they really that good or were the Eagles just really really bad.

When the Dockers lost by a much smaller margin a couple of years ago everyone just bagged out the Dockers and said they choked.

I truly believe Freo would have put up a much better fight, yes just speculation I know, but from what I saw the Eagles just didn't show up.

West Coke Eagles or West Choke Eagles seems to be the question most are asking these days.
