Between Nov 2016 and October 2017 my old 25ft caravan stored next to the shed at Scorpion Ridge was broken into via a smashed rear window and ransacked. Not a pleasant way to start the annual holiday at 3 Mile.
A big thank-you to the good samaritan who made the temporary repair by screwing the plywood to the broken window - please contact me.
The station management and some of the regular guests know nothing about the incident. So I am totally clueless about it, hence this post.
Is it possible for anyone to shed any light on what happened, who the perpetrator(s) were or any information about it please?

That's pretty rough news,
Man there are a lot of "drifters" up there nowadays when the season is on, always has been but a few more shady characters/backpackers etc etc....
Someone stole my thongs at bluff last year and in 15 years it was the first theft I had experienced up there, good luck with the info hunt and when you catch them, boil them in the oil

Trash knows no boundaries these days.
This is the first time in all the regular trip there since 1987 that I started locking car at night and being more diligent in securing valuables.
I suspect children are the culprits as there is recently built cubby house of sorts in the bushes nearby where some stolen station property was stashed.

The only lead I have on this is that when I was there at Easter 2016 there was a mischievous pre-pubescent brat hanging around Scorpion Ridge with another of similar age peering in van windows, throwing stones & hitting property with sticks.
I reported this to the camp manger at the time Kirsten. She was already aware the brat had issues. There were very few guests there at the time as the only ablution facility available during the construction of the new ablutions was Donda's dunny.
I know it is a long shot but could it be possible that the brat ransacked my van after I left in 2016 or returned in 2017 (maybe Easter 2017)?
Was anyone at Gnaraloo at Easter 2016 and/or 2017 or other that has any info?

Unfortunately I think you'll remain clueless, the chances of finding the little turds is precisely zero.

check bookings on these dates with the station, give details to cops, a name may pop up and they stop eating a donut and follow it through

Sad thing is that it is sometimes only 1 or 2 kids that can have a significant impact on an area like this. There used to be a kid that lived near me that was single handedly responsible for about 95% of incidents like this for several years. They moved to a different suburb, and a few months later I was driving through there and saw his 'tag' painted about every 50 meters through the main street. Even after his older sister OD'd, and his brother totally fried his brain on drugs to the point that spoke like a 3 year old, the parents were still in total denial that there was anything wrong with their kids.
