Is it suspicious that the main Heavy weather characters are not asking about the lack of Heavy Weather, or am I starting to become a conspiracy theorist myself.

Don't be sad... most users have been locked out of HW, leaving it open to only a few nutters, obsessives and fruitcakes... jeepers, some folks over there even believe the earth is flat!! Flat like a pancake!!! Not just flat, like a disk on the back of a space turtle.

I think Loz keeps HW open to keep that crew from spreading their nonsense through the rest of the forum

To be fair, HW has some interesting topics, but every now and then it gets out of hand. I guess no one wants to moderate it as a job. Unfortunately, when there is no wind, it is probably one of the more interesting parts of the forum.

If only there was some way of allowing people access but somehow making them behave themselves? A hard ask.

Yeah, you would have to say, they did have their place. I think they were a bit to coarse, and it would have been better to see exactly how many people agreed with you and how many disagreed, instead of a just the result of a handful of votes.

Some people do take it too far though. I saw the same thing on unmoderated forums years ago where one or two people bring the tone of the whole place down and it falls apart. I guess in this case, without a paid moderator, some of the threads get out of hand.

I don't know if it is related, but yesterday the website seemed to not respond quite a lot, and everything else I accessed on the internet was fine. Maybe someone has mentioned this already.

Now that you have appeased the light wind enthusiasts with their own forum is there any chance you can fix HW for some people (or am I the only one)
Idle chatter about house prices, chainsaws and bickering petrol heads just doesn't cut it for me.

Seabreeze just got boring without heavy weather. Just look at the lack of postings on General Discussions.Stihl chainsaws has toped the list forever. Doesn't get more boring than that.
