Do you watch soccer? When are you going to give up so that sponsorship disappears and people stop paying the players so much?

Its basic economics. If no one watched it no one would pay such huge figures. Do you think someone is stealing billions of dollars to pay these people from hospital budgets or pension funds all over the world?

They're entertainers. Like a musician, comedian or actor. Thry get paid lots also. Global audience, lots of money in the industry. What is wrong esp in Aus is when women want the same. I think its fair that professional sports persons earnings be tied to the viewership and ratimgs. And female afl and nrl players shpuld get paid stufall because noone is interested. Its simply a pr exercise because of the poor male football culture. Womens tennis good. Womens golf ok. Womens cricket (vigaro) and football codes, farce. And i dont like it being forced down my throat, mentioned in news like people care etc

Pay them what you like, but don't ask for government money to build stadiums for them
