The thing is there'll be so much atmospheric distortion, you might not be able make sense of it.
The amazing thing is how clear that temperature inversion is, and how big the buildings are. I guess the light is going high into colder less turbulent air.
It would be good to see a proper scientific explanation of how that happens.
I can believe the temp inversion bends the light path, but you'd think it would also create more distortion and much less magnification.
Bugger, I can't find the image Pete posted a few years ago, the ones I can find now, look as you'd expect.
I'm wondering now, if that image was taken much closer to Chicago
