I wonder how many people remember they watched it at school.
Problem is....it was on a Sunday lunchtime in Australia.
The memory is likely genuine, so did it get replayed on the Monday or did people go to school specially to watch it?

Are you sure?

"At 12.56 pm on 21 July 1969 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), mankind took its 'one giant leap' and 600 million people watched as Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon"

and

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/July_1969#July_21,_1969_(Monday)

... shows it was a Monday.

My mistake. Eagle landed on 20/7/69, but they didn't step out for a few hours. Dunno why they waited so long. If I had been stuck inside a small car for 3 days with 2 other blokes I would have wanted to get out and stretch my legs as soon as I pulled up.

They had to wait for the stage crew to change the scenery.

According to what my mother told me, I wandered behind the TV set and ripped out the aerial cable a few seconds before the small step giant leap thingy. I was 14 months old.

I think its easy to forget, that all this stuff was unknown.

Sure, land, just jump out and have a look around. It works on Lost In Space, and Doctor Who doesn't even have to worry about an atmosphere.

I would be double tripple checking everything before I left, just to make sure I could get back. There is no recovery vessel to help you, so you want to make sure you get it right the first time.

That's awesome. Reminds me of my 2yo, who was walking at about 14mo, and is still uncanny in his ability to cause the most destruction imaginable in any given situation.

So he Is positive he had the evidence, but it was stolen and "Misplaced". Good on Buzz for his punch. This guy is such a wanka, imagine doing something amazing that no one. Or very few people. Have ever done before, then have this guy come and say it is all fake. Better still he has had his groundbreaking evidence stolen and misplaced.
I wonder if the footage where the astronauts give him a hiding had been stolen or misplaced
